Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 16, 2023, at Society Hill Baptist Church in Oak Vale for Ronald Earl Pierce, 73, of Carson, who passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at his residence. Burial followed in Society Hill Cemetery in Oak Vale. Rev. Paul Young officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the services on Monday, Oct. 16, at Society Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gaston Pierce; and mother, Ercell Cox Pierce.
Survivors include his son, Jacob Pierce; two daughters, Angela Moree and Regina Pierce; three brothers, Danny Pierce (Becky), Ken Pierce (Debbie) and Dale Pierce (Lynn); six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers were Justin Pierce, Jimmy Pierce, Justin Dyess, Clayton Moree, Kevin Harrell and Patrick Smith.
