Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, in the Mormon Church Cemetery in the Darbun Community on Mormon Church Road in Kokomo for Steven Spiers, 64, of Purvis, who passed away on Sunday, Sept. 29, in Hattiesburg.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He worked many years at the Lumberton Feed Mill until its closing. In his spare time, he loved to play the guitar.
He was preceded in death by his father, T.F. Spiers; brother, Christopher Spiers, and grandson, Ramon Dais.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Spiers of Purvis; son, Alan Brooks (Sonyia) of Pelham, Ga.; mother, Wandee Spiers (Mario Hoffmann); three brothers, Michael Spiers (Kathy) of Bella Vista, Ark., B.J. Spiers (Jamie) of Houston and Austin Spiers of Columbia; three sisters, Susanne Clark of Columbia, Patsy Romero (Chino) of Arlington, Texas, and Nickie Bourn of North Kingston, R.I.; six grandchildren, Matthew Fillingame, Tyler Brooks, Austin Brooks, Tabetha Daniel (Jacob), Eddie Brooks and Jayden Brooks; one great-grandchild, Ellie Daniel; and 26 nieces and nephews.
