Dear Editor,
I feel like there’s a lot of good black people in Marion County, and I’ve had the benefit of knowing that from being helped by them. When I was in Walmart and fell, there were two Walmart employees who didn’t help me, and there were two young, black men who helped me up and helped me check out and get my groceries to my car.
Every time I seem to need help, there’s a black person there to help. White people seem to walk right on by. I hate to say that, but it’s the truth.
There’s a lot of people that are just prejudiced, and I’m not. I try to take people by face value.
