Concerning the four-lane bill that might become law July 1, 2018, I strongly oppose this law. It will cause traffic to back up on the highways.
I frequently travel U.S. 98 East to Hattiesburg, and if we have to stay in the right lane it will back up quickly. I thought that was the purpose for four lanes to begin with.
Those of us who drive the speed limit of 65 mph, we are almost run off the road by drivers doing 90 mph to 100 mph. They are clearly speeding, and very few are pulled over.
Now they are trying to charge $50 for left-lane drivers.
