The work based learning students from the Marion County Carl Loftin Career & Technology Center practiced simulated interviews on Dec. 2. Prior to the mock interviews, students created a professional resume, completed a sample application to be used during the mock interview and reviewed approximately 100 potential interview questions.
Adrinae Aikens hands her resume to Demetrius Pittman who acts as the interviewer.
Each student’s primary focus was to introduce themselves, display proper hand-shaking techniques, maintain good eye contact, exhibit professional dress and answer prompted interview questions. Debbie Brumfield, the WBL instructor, was assisted by Amy Baughman, Student Services Coordinator and Demetrius Pittman, WIN Job Service Benefit Program Specialist. To better prepare for perspective real-world interviews, each student was given feedback from the interviewers and their classmates.
