Marion County saw 14 homes and 16 businesses damaged in the Dec. 16 tornados, according to reports from the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.
MEMA said 15 tornados affected 15 counties.
In Columbia, two tornados, one an EF2 and one an EF1, struck just before 5 p.m. on the west end of U.S. 98 and in the heart of the city in the area near the library. The state said it sent 50 tarps to Marion County as part of the recovery.
Jones County got the worst of the storms with 208 homes damaged along with 25 businesses by an EF3. Other counties included:

l Clarke: 15 homes
l Franklin: One home damaged, one business damaged
l Hinds: 62 homes damaged, 2 businesses damaged
l Jasper: Three chicken farms destroyed
l Lamar: 16 homes damaged, 11 businesses damaged
l Lee: 37 homes damaged
l Lincoln: 15 homes damaged
l Simpson: 5 homes
l Smith: 100 homes damaged, three chicken farms destroyed
l Tishomingo: 13 homes damaged, three businesses
l Union: 12 homes
