MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Lauren Rowley (SO/Foxworth, Miss.) of William Carey (Miss.) was named SSAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced Dec. 14.
The awards are based on performance for the week of Dec. 7-13.
Rowley helped the Lady Crusaders win their only game of the week to improve to 2-1, as she led the way with 16 points, three rebounds and three assists. The sophomore shot 50% from the field and was 4-for-4 from the FT line. This is his first career honor.
Rowley starred at Columbia Academy in high school, leading the Lady Cougars to the state championship as a senior.
