Members of the Junior Beta Club are participating in a tutoring program for students who need help with academic needs including math, reading, and science. There was a joint effort for creating the morning XSTREAM tutoring sessions between Dr. Sara Bardwell and Mrs. Danielle Whittington last year.

The CES fourth grade gifted program made Dale Chihuly inspired art work to showcase creativity and collaboration. Chihuly is one of the greatest glass sculpture artists of our time. Dale Chihuly is an American glass artist who was born on September 20, 1941 in Tacoma, WA. He’s eighty-one years old with a wife and one child.

Students learn importance of physical fitness training

Students in the law and public safety program at the Marion County Career and Technology Center have recently been learning about physical fitness. Every Friday, the students have been engaging in exercises that challenge them both mentally and physically.

West Marion Band goes to band clinic

Seven West Marion band students had the opportunity to particpate in the SWMBDA Band Clinic at Southwest Mississippi Community College Jan. 13 and Jan. 14. They gave up their entire Friday night and a good portion of their Saturday of a three-day weekend to gather with other students in our area for the sole purpose of making music!
