Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at Colonial Funeral Home for Audrey L. Cormier, 79, of Columbia, who died on Tuesday, Nov. 7, in Hattiesburg. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. The Rev. Terry Seabrook officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, at Colonial Funeral Home.
A native of Lamar County, she was a former custodian at Boothville-Venice High School and was of Pentecostal faith.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Adam Cormier, James Zimmerman and Rozier Burkhalter; daughter, Nancy Baccus; parents, Charles and Bertha Madden Johnson; sister, Leann Madden and brother, Jarrell Johnson.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Buras (Doug) of Sumrall; two sons, Michael Burkhalter (Edna) of San Diego, Calif. and Jack Zimmerman (Rebecca) of Port Sulfur, La.; two brothers, David Johnson (Dorothy) of Purvis and Glendall Johnson of Laurel; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
