Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at Colonial Funeral Home for Mrs. Bobbie G. Haddox, 87, of Foxworth, who died on Sunday, Oct. 15, in Columbia. Interment followed in Foxworth Cemetery. The Rev. Willie Martin officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Colonial Funeral Home.
A native of Marion County, she was a retired seamstress and a member of Foxworth First Baptist Church. She enjoyed various types of handiwork such as sewing, needlepoint and crocheting. This was a bond that she shared with her sisters. She was also an excellent cook and no one left her table hungry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Haddox; son, Danny G. Haddox; daughter, Sharon Elaine Haddox; sister, Robbie Donahue and brother, Gerald Greer.
Survivors include her daughter, Kim McMichael (John) of Foxworth; daughter-in-law, Beverly Stovall Haddox of Foxworth; three sisters, Marguerite Burton of Columbia, Betty Jo Broom (James) of Baton Rouge and Blanche Eavenson (James) of Moselle; two brothers, J.V. Greer (Lizzie) of Columbia and Tommy Greer (Beth) of Saucier, three sisters-in-law, Darlene Greer, Judy Haddox and Louise Dykes, all of Columbia ; three grandchildren, Jory Haddox (Christie) of Sumrall, Doug McMichael (Kelli) of Columbia and Traci Sullivan of Foxworth; six great-grandchildren, Connor Haddox, Briley Sullivan, Cara McMichael, Carter McMichael, Daniel Pierce and Isaac Pierce, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Russell Burton, Larry Don Haddox, Jory Haddox, Michael Haddox, Randy Haddox and Doug McMichael.
Colonial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
