Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Foxworth for David D. Jones, 60, of Columbia, who died on Sunday, Nov. 26, at his residence. The Rev. Randy Gardner officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 27, at Colonial Funeral Home.
A native of Walthall County, he was a diesel mechanic for 35 years and was employed with several companies including Superior Well Services in Columbia. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Victoria Jones, and brother, Carey Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Jerri Jones of Columbia; daughter, Vickie Davis (Ryan) of Kokomo; two brothers, Travis Jones (Ann) of West Columbia, S.C. and Jackie Jones (Linda) of Kokomo; two grandchildren, Gavin Davis and Kaydence Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
