Edith Elizabeth Pope Robinson Lampley

Private graveside services were held on Saturday, July 29, 2017, in Corinth for Edith Elizabeth Pope Robinson Lampley, 95, of Ooltewah, Tenn., who died on Sunday, July 26, at her residence.
She was born October 11, 1921, in Columbia to Joseph Carter Pope and Leona Seals Pope. She was one of eight children. She went to nursing school in Columbia, worked as a registered nurse and director of nursing over her career in North Mississippi, California and Tennessee. After relocating to Chattanooga in the 1970s, she returned to her true love of working the floor helping patients. She retired from the Hamilton County Nursing Home in the mid-1990s.
She enjoyed gardening, camping and getting lost in the woods. She was married to Seth Eugene Robinson until his death in 1971.
Survivors include her sister, Josie Mobley of Columbia; brother, James Pope of Columbia; her children, Gloria Robinson of Strasburg, Va., Dean Robinson (Judy) of Harrison, Tenn. and Steve Robinson (Leslie Toombs) of Las Cruces, N.M.; grandchildren, Kimberly Bates (Jeff), Ben Robinson (Tera), all of Ooltewah, Tenn. and John Robinson (Ashley) of Elkmont, Ala. and great-grandchildren, Evan Bates and Adam Bates, both of Ooltewah, Tenn. and Ford Robinson of Elkmont, Ala.
The family would like to recognize Edith's special friend and caregiver Debra Cousin of Ooltewah, Tenn.
