Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, in Pine Burr Church of the Lord Jesus Christ Cemetery for Gary Wayne Pittman, 61, of Lumberton, who died on Thursday, Feb. 1, at his residence. The Rev. W.D. Hibley officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, at Colonial Funeral Home.
A native of Mississippi, he worked as a driller in the oil field for many years and was of the Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louie Wayne Pittman and sister, Bonnie Addington.
Survivors include his daughter, Heather Box (Randy) of Sumrall; two sons, Eric Wayne Russell (Barbara) and Gary Chad Russell (Heather), both of Sumrall; mother, Ruby Nell Pittman of Westmoreland, Tenn.; three sisters, Patsy Carr (Sammy) of Westmoreland, Tenn., Lois Dyess (Ricky) of Carson and Margaret Pittman of Lumberton; brother, Paul Pittman of Lumberton, and five grandchildren, Presleigh Box, Gunner Box, Elle Russell, Harper Russell and Tatum Russell.
