Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, in Woodlawn Cemetery for Hugh McGrew Jr., 91, of Flora, who died on Sunday, Dec. 31, in Jackson. The Rev. Danny Powell officiated at the services. Visitation was held from noon until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3, at Colonial Funeral Home.
A native of Lamar County, he was a manager in retail sales and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jaunita McGrew; parents, Hugh Sr. and Pearl McGrew; sister, Sarah Bess Moree, and brother, J.L. McGrew.
Survivors include his son, Bill McGrew (Rachel) of Flora; brother, Toxie McGrew (Paula) of Sumrall and a host of family and friends.
