Jerry “Junie” Thornhill Jr.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at Colonial Funeral Home for Jerry “Junie” Thornhill Jr., 65, of Foxworth, who died on Friday, Dec. 8, in Hattiesburg. Burial followed in Mt. Sinai Cemetery in Foxworth. The Rev. Lloyd Thompson officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10, at Colonial Funeral Home.
A native of Columbia, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard and a cattle farmer. He was of the Church of God faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Thornhill Sr. and Vonzene Thornhill.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Ratliff Thornhill of Foxworth; son, Jeremy Thornhill (Stacy) of Foxworth and six grandchildren, Chase Thornhill, Cooper Thornhill, Heidi Thornhill, Maddie Claire Sauls, Preston Sauls and Molly Sauls.
