A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at Colonial Funeral Home for John Winn Hoffman, 63, of Columbia, who died on Saturday, Nov. 11, at his residence. The Rev. Darel Daniels and the Rev. Johnathan McLemore officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until the time of the services on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Colonial Funeral.
A native of Gulfport, he graduated from Gulfport East High School. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Mississippi. He was a former owner of Cook and Fortenberry Pharmacy and a member of Improve Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. C.F. Hoffman Jr. and Betty West Hoffman.
Survivors include his wife, Becky Hoffman; son, Wesley Hoffman; two sisters, Kay Campbell and Pat Roeseler; brother, Freddie Hoffman (Kathy); four nieces, Courtnay Campbell, Erin Campbell, Grechen Longfellow and Kimberly Hoffman, and nephew, Charlie Hoffman.
