Judine “Judy” Haddox Lott, 82, of Clinton passed away March 7, 2018, while residing at Amelia’s Garden Assisted Living Facility in Lucedale.
Visitation is Friday, March 9, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson and Saturday, March 10 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. with service following. Graveside and burial will be 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia. The Rev. Royce R. Lott Jr. will officiate the funeral and graveside services.
Judy was born March 24, 1935, to Estus and Lucille Speights Haddox of the Bunker Hill community. She was a faithful member of Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton until health issues required her to live with her children and later reside at Amelia’s Garden.
She retired from Bellsouth in December 1997 and was a Life Member of the AT&T Pioneers. After her retirement from Bellsouth, she worked at D.H. Holmes/Dillard’s Department Store, Morrison Heights Baptist Church Daycare Center and Mississippi College.
She was loving, caring and encouraging, a true friend to many and a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a Christian lady who loved her family, her church and her Lord.
Judy was proceeded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, James Jenkins of Clinton.
She is survived by two sons, Keith Lott and wife, Wanda, of Summit, Royce Lott and wife, Beth, of Canton and one daughter, Lynn Lott Jones of Clinton; six grandchildren, Tracie Lott of Hattiesburg, Dee Dee Wolfe and Buddy of McComb, Stephen Lott and Katie of Hattiesburg, Chris Jones and Devin of Birmingham, Alabama, Josh Christian and Stephani of Oxford and Reese Lott of Canton; great-grandchildren, twins Tucker and Kenzie Wolfe, Marilee Elizabeth “Maribeth” Lott, Colby Jones and Collins and Stella Rose Christian.
Judy is also survived by a brother, Emmitte Haddox and Anita of Jackson, a sister, Mary Jenkins of Clinton. Other survivors include a host of nieces and nephews, other family members and friends, a special friend, Ruth Rivera, and her caregivers at Amelia’s Garden and Hospice Ministries.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Stephen Lott, Josh Christian, Reese Lott and Buddy Wolfe; sons, Keith and Royce R. Lott Jr.
