Funeral services were at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Colonial Funeral Home for Kim Dawsey Brewer, 59, of Columbia, who died on Monday, July 17, at her residence. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Father Martin Gillespie officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, at Colonial Funeral Home.
A native of Columbia, she was a sales clerk most recently employed with Piggly Wiggly in Columbia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Margaret McDonald Dawsey.
Survivors include her three daughters, Tanya Yawn, Rene Fillingame and Johnna Bates; one son, Edward Bigner; three brothers, Elmer Dawsey Jr., Tim Dawsey and John Dawsey and 10 grandchildren, Alissa Yawn, Breanna Yawn, Colton Yawn, Megan Sanders, Dakota Branch, Landon Fillingame, Destiny Morgan, Brooke Morgan, Zoey Dixson and Mary Taylor Bigner.
