Mary Lynn Hurt Stuckey

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at Cedar Grove Baptist Church for Mary Lynn Hurt Stuckey, 55, who passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017 at her residence. Burial followed in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Dr. Hiram Campbell and Bro. Todd Sumrall officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, at Colonial Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until the time of the services on Saturday, Nov. 18, at Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
She was born in Lumberton and made her home in Columbia. She deeply loved her family, but above all she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She served faithfully in many capacities as a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She also dedicated 19 years of her life to children and parents at First Baptist Preschool.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Laura Kate Ball, and best friend, Shelia Rowley.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Cecil L. Stuckey Jr. of Columbia; three daughters, Avery Brumfield and Katie Ball (Benjamin), both of Columbia and Christina Osborne (Daniel) of Madison; four grandchildren, Bailey Brumfield, Joseph Wade White, Patrick Ball and Donzie Marie Osborne; parents, Luther and Virginia Hurt of Lumberton; two sisters, Melanie Odom (Tom) and Jenny Whitten (Homer), both of Lumberton; brother, Mike Hurt (Shirl) of Lumberton, and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Pallbearers were Rodney Hurt, Brad Hurt, Charlie Atwood, John Atwood, Raymond Collier and Joe Stuckey. Honorary pallbearers were her nephew, Trey Collier, and grandsons, Joseph Wade White and Patrick Ball.
