Funeral services were held at noon on Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, at Hathorn Funeral Home for Alonzo Junior Boleware, 71, of Covington, La., who died on Sunday, Jan. 12 in Covington. Burial followed in Bullock Cemetery in Sanford. Pastor Michael Lollar and Bro. Johnny Williams officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of the services on Friday, Jan. 17 at Hathorn Funeral Home.
He was a very happy person who enjoyed fellowship with others. He also loved to fish. He deeply loved his Lord and attending church. He will be greatly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo J. Boleware and Lora A. Moore; two brothers, James R. Boleware and Len Boleware; three sisters, Mary Bailey, Edna Ruth Moore and Annie Naquin; one stepfather, Roy E. Moore, and one stepmother, Thelma J. Boleware.
Survivors include his five sisters, Betty Reid of Laurel, Doris Graham (Junior) of Carrier, Gene Dychtwald (Jake) of Covington, Juanita Buckley (Bryan) of Collins and Peggy Williams (Johnny) of McLain; two brothers, Terry Boleware (Zelda) of Laurel and David Boleware (Mary) of Quitman; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Boleware of Columbia, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Hank Graham, Jericho Hamilton, Roger Graham, Toney Graham, Duke Graham, Joe Graham and Colton Graham. Honorary pallbearer was Jessie Graham.
