Robert Lawrence “Booger” Sandifer

Graveside services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, in Woodlawn Cemetery for Robert Lawrence “Booger” Sandifer, 64, of Columbia, who died on Sunday, Jan. 14. The Rev. Greg Pittman and the Rev. Mike Sahler officiated at the services.
A lifelong resident of Columbia, he was born on June 7, 1954. He was retired from the oil and gas industry where he was a supervisor for 35 years. After retirement, he loved spending time with family, friends and the “Magnolia Gang.” He enjoyed cooking, working in the yard, spending time at the farm and hanging out at “Hartfield’s.” “Paw Boog” was a good Christian man who was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Buck N. Sandifer and Ina R. Walker, and brothers, Paul L. Sandifer and Thomas N. Sandifer.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Margaret L. Sandifer; son, Robert “Bobby” Sandifer; brother, Eddie N. Sandifer (Reta), grandchildren, Hayden Ardis (Mark), Hannah Kleinpeter (Brody) and Hunter Applewhite, and great-grandchildren, Morrison Applewhite, Austyn Kleinpeter and Lawson Ardis.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciated donations to the First United Methodist Church of Columbia.
