Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at Columbia Presbyterian Church for Tommy Thompson, 68, of Foxworth, died on Wednesday, Jan. 31, in Jackson. Burial followed in Tylertown Cemetery. The Rev. Chris Willett officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until the time of the services on Saturday, Feb. 3, at Columbia Presbyterian Church.
A native of Tylertown, he was employed 24 years with Exxon Mobile and retired as a drilling superintendent. After retirement, he became a consultant with the company. He was active in his faith and attended Columbia Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Thompson.
Survivors include his wife, Trenda Thompson of Foxworth; daughter, Jessica Bryant (Aaron) of Foxworth; two sons, Clint Thompson (Sara “Sharmon”) of Antioch, Tenn. and Scott Thompson (Heather) of Carriere; mother, Edwina Thompson of Foxworth; sister, Cathy Haley (Preston) of Franklinton, La.; two brothers, Jimmy Thompson (Donna) of Foxworth, and Randy Thompson(Amanda) of Franklin, Tenn. and five grandchildren, Noah Bryant, Lorel Bryant, Seth Thompson, Logan Thompson and Maddison Thompson.
