Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at Sandy Hook Baptist Church for Wallace “Bud” Murphy Jr., 74, of Sandy Hook, who died on Monday, July 31, at his residence. Interment was in the Metairie Cemetery in New Orleans. The Rev. Ricky Daugherty officiated at the service. Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3, at Sandy Hook Baptist Church.
A native of New Orleans, he was the principle partner of Certified Security Systems, Inc. and a member of Sandy Hook Baptist Church since 2008. He served in the National Guard.
