The third annual Moses Caswell “Bunk” Ard Family Reunion will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Pine Masonic Lodge, 27080 Highway 62, Franklinton, La.
Moses Caswell “Bunk” Ard and Elizabeth McKenzie Ard married in 1884 and gave birth to eight children: William Averice Ard, Lillie Ophelia Ard, Thanie Myrtis Ard, Lenora Floreda Ard, Bessie G. Ard, Effie Rozetta Ard, Willie Ard and Golda/Golden Louesa Ard.
Many of their descendants live in Marion County, and all members of this family are encouraged to attend this reunion.
Genealogical information will be provided with special emphasis on Elizabeth McKenzie Ard’s family. Family sheets will be available to update and gather additional information needed to complete a family history.
As usual, relatives are looking for pictures of the eight siblings and their families. Attendees are asked to bring a covered dish and non-alcoholic beverage of their choice.
