The Pine Needle Garden Club donated two trash receptacles to the City of Columbia on Friday. The receptacles, which cost a total of $1,000, will be used at the city park. Standing around the receptacles are, from left, Byron Osgood with the city, Marie Haney, Teddy Plaisance, Martha Whitehead, Mayor Justin McKenzie, Margie Harris, Jean Morris, Rosalind Mikell, Jerry Carley, Betty Lynn Reaves, Brenda Pounds and Judy Ward. Ward is the president of the club, and Whitehead is the project manager.
