The Columbia 10u all-stars will kick off its summer slate this weekend as the three-time defending state champs look to accomplish a four-peat.
They will get underway at Duckworth Park in the AAA sub-district tournament. The all-star team begins play with a 6 p.m. showdown Friday against Sumrall before taking on Duckworth at noon Saturday. Columbia will then play Hattiesburg 9u in its final game of the tournament at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
“So far everything looks good,” head coach Hunter Forbes said. “We’re just trying to stay on course with our practice plan, goals and objectives. Hopefully there will be a long summer for us.”
Columbia 10u includes Braxton Albritton, Logan Buckley, Jack Carney, Ashton Daniels, Ryder Earls, Hagen Forbes, Carter Fortenberry, Logan Green, Kole Louge, Daniel Lowery, Owen Simmons and Kolby Stringer and coaches John Green and Ryan Stringer.
