Columbia Academy will be hosting its annual Cougar Classic archery tournament at the Columbia Expo Center Thursday through Saturday with several new additions this year and a special guest.
There will be a number of businesses with booths, including Waldo’s Sports Center, Real South Hunting, Helanbak, Watts Brothers, The Outpost and Tom Smith Land & Homes. The National Guard will be hosting archery tag for visitors, and Duck Dynasty regular Mountain Man will be in attendance Friday and Saturday.
Once again there will be more than 100 teams participating from around 40 different schools, with most schools bringing several teams.
Every year Archery in Mississippi Schools (AIMS) continues to grow with new schools coming on board, and currently there are more than 80,000 students participating throughout the state. Columbia Academy has won back-to-back state titles at the elementary, middle school and high school levels.
