Kyzar wins ‘I Love the Magnolia State’ Pageant

Kaitlyn Kyzar, 14, daughter of Madelyn Lokey and Richie Kyzar, won at the "I Love the Magnolia State" Valentine's Pageant put on by the Miss Magnolia State Pageant Sunday in Vicksburg. Kyzar will participate in the Miss Magnolia State Pageant in November in Vicksburg as Miss Teen Heart of Brandon.

Future leaders in the making

National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) members from the Marion County Carl Loftin Career & Technology Center attended the NTHS State Leadership Conference in Raymond on Jan. 20. The theme for the leadership meeting was service. Students heard from guest speaker Charlotte Bryant, Outreach Coordinator with Stand Up Mississippi.

National Technical Society sponsors blood drive

The National Technical Honor Society at the Marion County Carl Loftin Career & Technology Center sponsored its first blood drive of 2023. We had over 30 donations for this event on Jan. 24.Thanks to all the HEROES who donated. Students from the Health Science II class, taught by Shari Bryant, assisted with the blood drive.
