Taylor Watts, a 2014 Columbia Academy graduate, recently had his first book published. "A Little Bit of Everything for a College Story" follows two friends, Aria and Presleigh, as they navigate college life and relationships. The book, published by Fulton Books, was inspired by Watts, who received his bachelor's degree in English from the University of Southern Mississippi. Shooting on Jones Circle wounds two

On March 29, the Columbia Police Department responded to a shots-fired call that occurred on Jones Circle and learned of two teenagers being shot by a juvenile
As officers arrived on the scene, a second call was received from the Marion General Hospital Emergency Room about two gunshot victims that had arrived at their location.
