Crossroads providing SportsPlex concessions

The Columbia Board of Aldermen weighed its options on a pair of bids for the concessions at the SportsPlex at their March 7 meeting and selected Crossroads Grillin’ & Catering despite it receiving a lower overall score from an independent panel because it will help pay off the bond used to build the complex quicker.

Theft of mower leads to big problems

Herbert Eliud Guevara, 35, of Columbia was arrested by the Marion County Sheriff's Office Sunday afternoon on theft charges and is in danger of being deported.

CPD offering reward for info in Friendship Park fire

A fire that was intentionally set at Friendship Park on March 9 has the Columbia Police Department offering a reward for information.
Columbia Police Chief Michael Kelly said that three juveniles were seen fleeing just prior to the fire being visible on the screen. The police department needs assistance finding the three suspects.

CPD still offering cash reward in CA robbery

There is now a cash reward for information about the two individuals who robbed Columbia Academy and took more than $60,000 from the safe.
Columbia Police Department officers were dispatched to Columbia Academy around 6 a.m. Feb. 24 after a call about a burglary at the school.
