3 East Marion seniors ready to serve their country

Three East Marion seniors have already enlisted with the army before graduation, and, one of them has already been through basic training. Caleb Seals, Malcolm Simmons and Richodrick Pace are following similar yet different roads to achieving their goals with the military.

Since the Marion County Board of Supervisors first discussed replacing this bridge on Johnson Road, it has been more than three years and work is finally completed. However, that is not because anyone dragged their feet on the project. East, West Marion choirs show out

The choirs on both sides of the river had huge successes this year as they competed in and out of Mississippi. East Marion won in their divisions at the Smoky Mountain Music Festival in Gatlinburg, Tenn., while West Marion won competition after competition here in the state.
