It’s been a long journey for Jamie Powell at Columbia, who took over head coaching duties for the Lady Wildcats in the summer of 2021. He told the C-P earlier this season that this would be his last year coaching softball, citing a full-time administrative move, but his Lady Wildcats had not yet won a playoff series during his tenure.
