After breaking Spring Training with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Columbia native Anthony Alford lasted just 11 games with the Buccos before being optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis. But now, after tearing up the minor leagues, Alford is back with the Pirates and out to prove he’s there to stay.
