MCSD track at East Marion ribbon cutting Friday

Nearly 1,000 grams of marijuana seized from Wiggins man

A Wiggins man is behind bars at the Marion County Regional Correctional Facility after being caught in possession of more than 975 grams of marijuana by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and attempting to smuggle more marijuana in his person into the jail.

MCSD considering sale of Hub School

Since June 2024, the Marion County School District Board of Trustees has been pondering about what to do with Hub School once it had been transferred back to district control. During its May 12 meeting, the board discussed potentially selling the property, but there remains several questions in need of answers.
