Virgil arraigned on first-degree murder charge

A Columbia woman facing a first-degree murder charge in the 2024 shooting death of her husband appeared in Marion County Circuit Court Feb. 12 as the case against her continues to move forward.
Oneisha Virgil was arraigned in connection with the Sept. 7, 2024, death of her husband, Demyrean Virgil, that occurred at The Grove.

Stringer lifts Trojans to sweep of rival Columbia

For the first time in five years, West Marion swept Columbia in the annual two-game rivalry series to start the season, thanks to the efforts of Trojans senior Kolby Stringer. The superstar tossed 7 2/3 innings of one-hit baseball with 22 strikeouts to go along with four hits, a home run and 3 RBI in a Herculean effort.

The sky must have fallen. I never thought it could happen. But it did. I actually agreed with most of what liberal Robert Wise wrote in the NSS on January 30. He criticized Trump for his statements on taking over Greenland. Trump antagonized the Danes {owners of Greenland) and also NATO with his brash approach.
