Ms. Dana Waddell of Philadelphia, along with Mr. and Mrs. Vance Berry of Columbia, are excited to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Whitney Alyssa Waddell and Russell Bernard Berry. Whitney is also the daughter of Brian Waddell of Philadelphia.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Sandra Winstead and Johnny Waddell, both of Philadelphia. She is the great-granddaughter of Waudine Moorehead and the late Marzine Moorehead, the late Bill and Peggy Kennedy and the late Rufus and Callie Waddell, all of Philadelphia. She is a 2013 homeschool graduate and a 2014 graduate of East Central Community College. She is currently employed with The Citizens Bank in Starkville.
The future groom is the grandson of Yvonne Berry of Columbia, Debbie Berry and the late Billy Berry of Sumrall, the late Beatrice Morin of Poplarville and the late Lauren Sonier of Waveland. He is the great-grandson of the late Homer and Ettie Berry of New Hope, the late Robert and Jessie Belle Patterson of Columbia, the late Dominick and Lillian Sonier of Waveland, and the late Bob and Ann Ladner of Poplarville. He is a 2008 graduate of Columbia Academy and a 2012 graduate of East Mississippi Community College. He is currently employed with Southern Tire Mart in Hattiesburg and plans to continue pursuing an agricultural engineering degree at Mississippi State University in the fall.
The couple will exchange vows at East Philadelphia Baptist Church on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at 5 o’clock in the evening with a reception to follow at the Philadelphia Country Club. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
