West Marion High School would like to announce its STAR Student for the 2023-2024 school year, Daleigh Crozier. To be eligible for the STAR Student honor, a student must have earned the highest ACT Score in his or her class and be a regularly enrolled senior or an approved dually enrolled student in an accredited public or private high school. The student must have an overall ACT composite score of at least 25 and an overall average of 93 or above in selected subjects in the ninth, 10th, 11th and first-semester 12th grades.
Following graduation, Crozier plans to attend the University of Southern Mississippi to major in nursing before continuing her education to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. She is the daughter of April and Kevin Crozier of the New Hope Community. She actively participates in clubs and organizations at West Marion, including a four-year member of the cheer squad where she served as captain this year, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, BETA club, FCA, Student Council and Diamond Club. She is also an active member of the Crown Club where she enjoys serving her community.
Crozier has chosen Rhonda Polk as her STAR Teacher. Polk is in her 16th year at West Marion,
currently teaching health and resource management and has also served as Crozier 's cheer coach through her 10th-grade cheer season.
