West Marion Middle School recently had its first ever homecoming, complete with a full Homecoming Court. The court included, from left, Fifth-Grade Maid Miss Raelyn Barnes, escorted by Sawyer McNabb; Sixth-Grade Maid Miss Daisy Crawford, escorted by Jace Ulmer; Seventh-Grade Maid Miss Lakeyn Barnes, escorted by Jayce Dillon; Flower Girl Miss X’Zayvia Alford; Crown Bearer Karter Martin; Eighth-Grade Maid Miss Chastity Hester, escorted by Ra’Quan Cotton; Football Maid Miss Adley Stringer, escorted by Darius Miller Jr.; Maid of Honor Miss Brooklyn Slocum, escorted by Nathan White; and Homecoming Princess Miss Kyra Harvey, escorted by Brayson Pittman. On Monday, Sept. 16, the middle school hosted a pep rally presentation for students, family and friends. Later that evening, there was a field presentation. The West Marion junior high football team concluded the homecoming festivities with a 30-0 victory over the Sumrall Bobcats.
