The Columbia High School Cheerleaders had great success throughout their competition season, culminating with the UCA National Cheerleading Competition in Orlando in February.
At nationals, the Wildcats earned the silver medal for their outstanding Gameday routine and scored in the top-8 in the Traditional division.
These athletes, along with coaches Makayla McNease and Amanda Thornhill, have put in the long hours starting in the spring of 2024 to prepare for this prestigious competition.
Leading up to the national competition, the cheer team was well-decorated with awards from other competitions, including first place in Gameday at the Camden Classic, second place overall in Gameday and took home the Technique Award at the PRCC Competition, first place in large Gameday NT D2 and first medium varsity Traditional NT D2 at the Magnolia Regional Competition and second place at the MHSAA State Competition 4A Gameday.
