A Columbia man was arrested April 14 in connection to an armed robbery that happened Feb. 3 in the Christian Union community.
According to the report, the victim traveled to the Christian Union community with the intent of looking at a vehicle to purchase. After the victim withdrew the money to buy it, Jordan M. Fillingame, 24, of Columbia and Tyrek Ruffin of Sumrall allegedly robbed the victim at gunpoint. Chief Deputy Jamie Singley said.
Fillingame was released after posting a $100,000 bond. Ruffin is incarcerated in the Pensacola jail on unrelated charges.
The incident remains under investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
