“They are excellent at what they do,” she said. “My support staff is the backbone of this clinic. If it wasn’t for them, I could not do my job. They handle a lot of the nursing responsibilities so that I am able to handle my doctor responsibilities.”
Marion Pet Care provides general wellness care, dental care, annual vaccines and emergent care. It also performs spays and neuters.
Marion Pet Care is fully equipped to perform surgery on your pet, if required, and has state-of-the-art equipment.
“We do any kind of foreign body removal and soft-tissue surgery,” Dr. Forbes said. “We do extensive surgery, and we have a great anesthesia monitoring suite. All of our equipment is up to date and brand new. I take it all very seriously.”
If your pet requires a subscription diet or if you would like your pet to eat healthier, Marion Pet Care offers Purina Pro both in its office and online direct to home. It also has an online pharmacy and can order special medications for your pet if necessary.
“Your pets are our passion,” Dr. Forbes said. “I strive to treat your family pets as part of your family. My calling is to help those who don’t have a voice and to be an advocate for patients who can’t speak for themselves.”
Marion Pet Care offers ultrasounds and digital X-rays and has referral experts it can send results to for diagnostics.
Dr. Forbes doesn’t just treat dogs and cats. She also treats exotic pets such as hamsters, guinea pigs, snakes, birds and pocket pets.
Although Marion Pet Care isn’t a full grooming service, it does offer limiting grooming, including sanitation cuts and baths. With very few grooming options nearby, Marion Pet Care does offer puppy cuts, shave downs and beauty packages.
