Just a few short years ago, every time Sheriff Berkley Hall gave a presentation to the Marion County Board of Supervisors, he had to give a report about how much debt the Marion County Correctional Facility was in. But now, the jail has not only recovered from being in substantial debt, but it is operating in the black.

Likely tornado ravages Broad Street

Following conflicting initial reports, the National Weather Service believes it is “highly likely” that an EF-0 tornado touched down on Broad Street Monday morning, downing multiple trees and power lines.
