Carter charged in fatal Foxworth shooting

A fatal shooting in Foxworth in the late hours of Jan. 18 left one victim dead, one victim in critical condition and a third with non-life threatening injuries, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

CA struggles with district losses

Before beating East Marion in a memorable night Monday, both Columbia Academy squads had a rough go of it against MAIS competition last week.
The Lady Cougars (13-13, 2-2) had a tough time at Brookhaven Academy Jan. 11, losing 59-21 on the road against a really good team.

East Marion teams head in different directions

Woodlawn Prep approaching history

Although Woodlawn Prep played just one game last week, the Wolfpack took another step towards a district title and making all sorts of history in the process.
Woodlawn Prep (13-3) traveled to Rolling Fork Jan. 11 to take on Sharkey Issaquena Academy and improved to 6-0 in district play with a convincing 70-51 victory.
