A collaborative effort has been put together to offer a one-of-a-kind event in Columbia’s Bluff Street Park overlooking the Pearl River Saturday.
Dinner on the River will begin at 6:30 p.m. It’s a collaboration between the Columbia Art Alliance, patrons of the arts and Main Street Columbia and is sponsored by Citizens Bank.
Seventeen pieces of art have been on display at the park since Freedom Fest in July, and the goal of the dinner is to encourage the sale of the art while enjoying a delicious pasta meal. And it will be topped off by Columbia chef Fran Ginn, who is making her famous lemon cloud dessert.
Once the art pieces are sold, the proceeds will be split in half, with half going to the artists and half going to Main Street Columbia for more local art events.
The cost of the dinner will be $25, and tickets can be purchased at Artwistic Revolution or online at eventbrite.com.
Bidding on the art can be done online at biddingowl.com.
