In error, Marion County Sheriff Berkley Hall’s report was not included in a story published Saturday about campaign finance documents. Hall, who turned his in by the June 10 deadline, reported receiving $1,200 during May for a total of $3,050 for the year. No money was disbursed during the month but a total of $1,493.47 has been disbursed for the year.
Other candidates who have filed include:
• Krae Morgan, who is running for District 1 constable. Morgan received no money this year and has disbursed no funds for the month. Total disbursement for the year is $1,971.98;
• Candidate for Justice Court District 1, Winston “Joe” Cox filed his reporting stating no funds have been received or disbursed;
• Sheriff candidate Adrian Fortenberry reported no money received for the year but a total of $483.08 was spent in May for a total amount used is $483.08;
• The Committee to Elect Brandon Rowell (Justice Court District 1) report states in the month of May $658.28 was received for a total of $2,974.97 received. He also filed a report for him personally, which stated no funds have been received or disbursed;
• Chancery clerk candidate Darrick McGowan filed his report showing a contribution received in the amount of $1,000 for the period and the year and no funds disbursed for the year;
• Jimmy Townsend, supervisor District 2 candidate, filed his report. He reports he received $100 in May in contributions for a total of $2,400 for the year and no disbursement for the month but a total of $1,783 for the year.
• Eli Turnage also turned in his report on Tuesday, the Marion County Circuit Clerk’s Office said. Details were not immediately available before press deadlines.
Coroner candidate Carla Thornhill amended her report to show no contributions or distributions for the month but a total contributions received $223.82 and disbursements in the amount of $2,065.21 for the year.
Circuit Clerk Janette Nolan said the reports need to be filed and current before candidates can be certified to be on the November ballot.
