The City of Columbia Recycling Center, located on Old Foxworth Road, is currently open two times each week to accept certain recyclable materials, including grades one and two plastic, aluminum and tin cans, cardboard and paper. The concept of recycling is one of those things that is generally considered a good idea, but it’s often bypassed or overlooked when it comes to actual participation because the extra effort required doesn’t necessarily reflect an immediate benefit.
