East tops West in county showdown

In a cross-county battle last Friday, East Marion prevailed in an 18-14 win over West Marion.
A 10-yard touchdown pass from Eagles’ quarterback Devin Daniels to Jordan Howard with 35 seconds left sealed the victory for East Marion in a game that was back-and-forth after a 0-0 first quarter.

Dash 4 Doc closes successful run

Bright sunshine and cool temperatures made for a great day for the final Dash 4 Doc 5K race in memory of the late Dr. Bryan McCraw.
More than 65 runners took to the 3.1 mile course with Nestor Anzola crossing the finish line first in a time of 23:24. Ella Bourne took the top female spot with a time of 25:28.

She has an unusual, but very pleasant voice. Her laugh is infectious and she laughs often and heartily. She reminds me of Mrs. Santa before her hair turned gray. She is absolutely approachable and down to earth ... and she is the most incredible cooking teacher I ever experienced.
