A 21-year-old Columbia man who served in the military and was a local volunteer firefighter and proclaimed minister was sentenced to four years in prison last week for the statutory rape of a 14-year-old. Kameron Virgil was sentenced to five years total, four to serve day for day, and must register as a sex offender.
