Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, at New Hope Baptist Church in Sumrall for Charles Edward Stephens, 71, of Sumrall, who died on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at his residence. Burial followed in New Hope Baptist Church in Sumrall. Rev. Dean Stewart, Rev. James Stuart, Rev. Tyler Ferguson and Rev. Neal Breeland officiated at the services. Phillip Butler, Tyler Ferguson and Brad Stephens provided special music. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. until the time of the services on Friday, Oct. 7, at New Hope Baptist Church.
