Terry Lynn Dement
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Colonial Funeral Home for Terry Lynn Dement, 64, of Columbia, who died on Thursday, June 2, in Hattiesburg. Burial followed in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Everette Broome and Dr. Brian Malone officiated at the services. Visitation was held from noon until the time of the services on Saturday, June 4, at Colonial Funeral Home.
He worked more than 25 years in oil field production and with his family business, Dement Roofing. He was a Christian and a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church and most enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He dearly loved his family and will be greatly missed by all.
He was preceded by his father, Wendell Dement.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy “Stinky” Dement of Columbia; two daughters, Kim Pennington (Tommy) and Niki McLeod (David), both of Goss; son, Chris Dement (Darlous) of Columbia; mother, Elmo Dean Dement Robbins of Columbia; two sisters, Sharon Prine (Gary) and Renea Moree, both of Columbia; three brothers, Neil Dement (Regina) of Columbus and Billy Don Dement and Stevie Dement (Martha), both of Columbia; and five grandchildren, Jackson Dement, Madison Dement, Jeffrey Pennington, Carter Pennington and Evie Pennington.
Pallbearers were Jackson Dement, Jeffrey Pennington, Carter Pennington, Jason Dement, Ryan Williamson and Dereck Williamson. Honorary pallbearers were Shawn Herrington, Brandon Prine and Derek Bracey.
